It’s a parent’s number one priority, protecting their children, but do you know who is watching them while they are at school or playing in their front yard? In Southern Colorado there are close to 18-hundred registered sex offenders. We have set up several links to websites (on the right hand side of your screen, in the STORY LINK)which show where some of those registered sex offenders live. Since Colorado doesn’t have a statewide registry, the information on mapsexoffenders.com and familywatchdog.us are updated when they receive new information from local law enforcement. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office link is updated on a regular basis. If you want to obtain an up-to-date registry for your city or neighborhood you can also contact your local law enforcement office, there is usually a fee to obtain the information, unless you are a member of a Neighborhood Watch.
